I'm taking social work in college and one of my papers is to do an experimental project on a topic that is completely different from who you are or your beliefs. I met a girl at work that is a Jehovah Witness and I thought that it would be interesting to write my paper on. If nobody minds would someone tell me their reactions if i was to come to your place of worship and you find out that i'm from a different religion?

Well I'm sure that they would welcome you with open arms and offer to conduct a free home bible study.

Oh wow...did you ever pick a good one...they would act like it didn't matter, and start something we call "love bombing". BTW, most of us here are ex-witnesses.

If you went to a Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses you would be 'love bombed' until you agreed to have a 'Bible Study' with an individaul JW. You would then be able to study a book from the WATCHTOWER BIBLE and TRACT SOCIETY that would probably have you convinced in a very short period of time that only Jehovah's Witnesses are the right religion. Then you would learn that Jesus is not the Way, the Truth and the Life. Oh no, the JW 'Faithful Discreet Slave' composed of 144,000 people is the Way, the Truth and the Life and is your only your mediator to God. This 'Faithful Discreet Slave' is represented by the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses. If you continue with your 'Bible Study', which is really the study of a book published by the WTBT$ backed up by individual Scriptures pulled out of their context you will eventually be brainwashed enough into believing that you owe your salvation to the Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses. You will also be warned that Christians really are pawns of Satan. You will also be warned about talking with people like most of the ones on this forum who have had their eyes opened, looked behind the curtain, saw who is running the show for the WATCHTOWER SOCIETY and escaped from the Jehovah's Witnesses.

"love bombing" means that everyone will show intense interest in you, coming up and saying hello, offering to study the Bible with you, make sure you are safe walking out to your car.
This will continue as long as you show interest in learning their beliefs. As soon as you decide it is not for you, you will be dropped.
Note: Any time these people spend talking to you will be kept track of by that witness and put on a form called a time slip and turned in to the elders at the end of each month.
Many people find after they get baptized that this "interest" dies down because the witness can no longer "count" the time spent with the baptized person.

Hi dnl1211, and welcome to the board.
The jws would absolutely love it if you went to a kh. They are always on the lookout for new members, especially with so many leaving.
