What was the Special Talk I've been hearing about?
When was it? On Memorial night on Wednesday? Or was it given as a public address on Sunday?
What was the talk about? Any mention of the possibility that this was the last Memorial till the Big A?

On memorial night a "special announcement" was made that on April 30th a talk would be given world wide by JWs called "Is God Still in Control?"
If anyone has access to the outline, please let me know!

Is the talk really... special? Or is it... ordinary. :D
It is only special in the sense that it is a new outline (soon to go in with the rest of the outlines) and is given right after the memorial targeting all the "new" and "inactive" people there. The annual scare them back into "the truth" talk.

They've given a special talk a few weeks after the memorial for many years. It's, as Blondie said, a new outline that after it's given once will be put in regular rotation. Also, every congregatio of witnesses in the world will hear the same outline on Sunday, April 30 - unless you have a circuit or special assembly day - in that case the local body will reschedule it for he following weekend.
Oh golly, gee! All the J-Dubs will be hearing the same talk on the same day! Isn't it just another proof that Jejober's spirit is directing the F&DS!

They have been giving "special" talks every Spring for as long as anyone can remember. At least nowadays they are not read from a manuscript.
They are about as special as a specially hyped episode of the longest running most boring soap opera that you can imagine..
Sounds like another "worship the Governing Body" speech to me.
Guess they are stuck on stupid, or arrogant. Waiting for the burning house to collapse on them before they finally decide to get the hell out.
Too proud to stop and ask for directions? Or too concerned with showing others they know where they are going?
Bet they end up in the projects, and get car jacked.
I wouldn't want to be a passenger in their car. IMO
