I can remember every young male in the congregation
"reaching out" to run the mikes - and read at the
bookstudy/Watchtower.
Well, no more! It seems to be the emerging norm for
elders or guys over 30/40 to run the mikes - and talking
to my 'loyal' relative, reading is just a chore.
As for sound systems, I have to laugh at MS's and
other wannebes trying to play CDs on cue or open
mike inputs for comments. Some congregations never seem
to get anyone with any sense of how to run an audio
board...
Meanwhile, 17 and 18 year old young men, who have
served as competent "DJ's" at parties, just sit in
the audience, bored out of their skulls. They probably
don't put in enough time to have any privileges, even
if they cared.
Wake Up, Watchtower Poo Bahs! The next generation
is goin' to college, and enjoyin' that good old
'double life'!
