Don't current jw's wonder why they don't replace gb members with 'annointed' still living? I realize there are not that many left and are quite old but wouldn't they rather have an annointed one in the gb? Do they even care? Why even bother with all the 'annointed' business then? Is it t that they wouldn't be experienced in Bethel and its workings?
Why don't jw question new gb annointing?

For the same reason they don't question anything the WTS says, carla...unless they want to be df'd.

All GB members are anointed. There are now several (in fact, the majority) who are "young anointed", i.e., baptized after 1935, but still counted as "anointed". The official spin is that such "young anointed" ones are replacements for unfaithful anointeds who died unfaithful.
Of course, it's still a good question why JWs don't question why there are so many "replacements"--why were so many of the "old-timer" anointeds unfaithful?
The short answer is as Blondie has noted--they are not trained to think at all.

Just another facet of Dub mind-numbness.

All the GB are and have been "anointed" according to WTS standards, carla. The recent WT article about the 2 new members ended with the statement that both men were anointed. The only way they would start appointing non-anointed is if all the anointed still on earth were women. Maybe they would appoint the women and make them wear headcoverings. (smile)
