This morning I got a Google Alert about this funny tid-bit...

    Jehovah's Witnesses didn't Witness me :(

Submitted by Do Not Read on April 19, 2006 - 11:43am. As I'm walking home from class on the path that parallels Broadway I pass 6 (3 pairs of 2) Jehovah's Witnesses.

I walk past the first set and politely nod. They nod back.

I walk past the second set, sure as hell they're gonna stop and try to convert me.
They stop and try to convert the kid next to me.

I walk past the third set. At this point I'm thinking if I've seen this many of them it must be my fate to become one.
But again, they smile at me and then as I turn around I see them stop a kid fifteen feet behind me.

I mean yeah. If they had stopped me I would have been pissed and an asshole and told them to stop wasting my time.

But I don't know. It kind of hurts that they didn't even try. Did they not think I was worth saving but the kid 15 feet behind me was?

I'm gonna go sulk in my room.

This was a funny little story!! Thanks for posting that.

I know how the guy feels. This year I wasn't invited to the Memorial by my family (we always travel out of town to attend theirs), and when my mom mentioned the "Special" talk she talked about how "we" were going (meaning her and my sis), didn't ask if I was going, didn't ask if I wanted to come to theirs.

I guess it's finally sunk in to them (after some painful discussions) that I don't want to go. I'm not sure how I feel/felt about not getting the invitation. I should be happy, but the feelings are mixed.

    It's a transition period I guess.
