What do you do to combat boredom when it arrives or to keep it at a distance so that it never comes near you? Are you more successful now in this endevour compared to the past, did you develop efficient anti boredom tactics?

I never had a boredom problem for a long time, I socialise a lot and there is of course also the internet. It's a case of not having enough time to do what I want.

In the past I used to fight boredom by staying up late thus changing my sleeping hours, eg 12-8 AM was changed to 6AM-2PM as my sleeping period.

Hmm, with being in school I don't have much time to be bored, but I find myself trying something new. If I were to maybe add something in my life that could keep me preoccupied a couple of hours a day or something like that.

You don't have a boredom problem, you have a lack of interest in doing things.

You need to get some self motivation and try and get back what you lost. Like the things you use to enjoy doing.

Without knowing your life style it is difficult to advise. You will need to reenforce family ties.

    Make new friends.

Seek outside help through old friends.

    Try new activities etc...!

I'm not usually bored, gd. Well, except when I'm forced to do certain tasks like cleaning the garage. That can bore me in ten seconds. Generally, I have no problem finding ways to amuse myself. lol

I like to try new things. This makes me pretty crap at just about everything, because I never stick with it long. Still it relieves the boredom.

I have a bad problem with boredom at work, because my options for self-amusement are limited & I don't have enough work to do....but outside of work, I rarely feel bored. I think having health problems as a kid forced me to channel all my physical energy into mental pursuits & that has become a talent in itself. Even when I was little, I was known for being able to entertain myself endlessly. I've got so many interests....but I still spend too much time on jwd!
