I was surprised to learn that you can see nicotine levels in blood tests, is this true or is this something that is made up from the ins. companies. If anyone has any information on this would much appreciate it, my siblingasked me and it was a uhh duhh from me as i had never heard of it. so your comments will be much appreciated.

It's true and you can even breath into a special carbon monoxide detector to prove that you smoke which takes three weeks to normalise.

yes it is true. in some companies they are starting to "random" test for smokers because they found that people were lying saying they were not smokers but in fact were, which drives up the cost of insurance for the corporations the individual works for.

Yep they can. My husband had to go through a series of blood tests before he got his Life Insurance, they check for everything you could think of. Otherwise it would be a huge loss for them to cover someone who has a very high possibility of getting cancer.
