It always amazes me how well networked the people on this site are.
Hey there I just heard the talk so let me give you some of the main points.
-Now is the time of the end
-The good news is being preached (Matthew 24:14)
-We need to teach others the knowledge of God (John 17:3)
-Jehovahs chariot is moving full steam ahead
-Now is not the time to slow down in our activity
-Don't forget Rev 21:3,4
-Did I mention Reve 21:3,4???
No seriously, this is all it was. Same old BS. Before he would read these scriptures every JW knows at heart he would say "now we as Jehovahs Witnesss know what this scripture says, but for the benifit of all present lets look it up". He did this at least 5 times if not any more.
Seems like all the Faithful Slave can do these days is tell people to go out in service or die at armageddeon. I didn't really pay much attention to this talk, I was to busy counting how many ceiling tiles we have at the hall.
The GB had always emotionally pressured the dubs by telling them that if they don't preach they will be guilty of the blood of those that will die at armageddon. Now that is some cultic inspired psychological pressure to make them go out and sell their magazines.

That's a load of crap. It takes a long time for news to travel in JWland, and last time I checked, the 1914 Generation teaching was still on watchtower.org. If you ask me, it sounds like Jehovah's chariot got a flat tire and crashed into a ditch. Things have been idle for years.

Funny you mention this. The last time the C.O. visited he made point to tell the Jws that we no longer believe the generation thing and how we all need to adjust, and how "some of our brothers have still refused to make the adjustment". I've still heard men give talks where they mention the generation thing. No matter how hard they try people will still hang on.
To continue the thought I must also add that I found it kind of disgusting that the CO could act all high and mighty (which he did) when he said that some haven't adjusted. They push this crap for decades, get people to loyaly submit to them on the basis of it, then change it before it goes unfulflled. What a load.
