I have a policy of not interfering in what makes another person happy. If being a JW bring that person happy I fully support them. When it reaches a point of unhappiness and questions then come, I am also there to support them.
I have a young woman friend in Calif, she is disf'ed and she desires to return and be reinstated. She feels she can find happiness in the religion, though she realizes there are flaws and accepts them as such. I encourage her to do what she is certain to bring reasoning and happiness. I tell her to go to the meetings, examine how you feel, do you feel encouraged? Do you agree with what is said? If you feel peaceful and in touch with your spiritual self then persue it?
Everyone must fine their happiness in their own form of spirituality. Even atheist feel a certain satisfaction and sense of rightness about their perspective. So allowing people to be happy whereever that is, has brought me peace and happiness in my life. I help those who wish to leave and learn the history of the WTBTS, ones who don't I encourage them to be happy where ever that is.
