Does anyone listen to Phil Gowan on talk 650? He had a Scientologist on yesterday and an ex-Witness called in - that was interesting. It was a good show - I think he is still getting emails on it. Might be nice to have one on JW's....sammieswife.

Haven't heard it, sammieswife. Did they sound like idiots?

When I was a dub I always wondered why witnesses sounded so....lacking and whacko on television and radio. It was usually pretty embarrassing to listen to them. Now, I'd probably enjoy listening to them sound like dimwits.

Better be careful what you say or Tom Cruise will call for this site to be shut down or he wont promote MI3

Maybe he'll have another couch-jumping fit, accidently jump too hard, go flying off the couch and break his leg. What? I'd laugh.

It was a pretty good show. He interviewed his guest for the entire first hour and only let in one caller (no doubt an agreed upon condition of the interview). The guy hedged pretty good when asked specifics but like any good cult member with experience, he managed to circumvent the issues quite nicely. Anyone without knowledge or that didn't care about the stuff would have believed him...but....then you have ex cult members who can see through it all. He didn't touch on the shunning/complexes/ etc within the religion but instead made it sound like some benign little play group that welcomes everyone with open arms and a warm fuzzy heart.

The high spot was during the next hour when a 20 year x-JW called in and suggested Steve Hassan's reading. He was articulate and enlightening for the host who mentioned that he was unaware of that side of the JW's. This opens a door.

I answered an ad on late night TV a few years ago and it was the scientology group. They sent me tapes and books and tried to recruit me.

They have a strange approach to wellness. L Ron believed that he has regressed back to his birth during many hypnotic episodes. They call it becoming clear....

Thanks to Scientology and Moonies we can at least say that we were never members of the most wacked out cults on the planet.

Thanks to Scientology and Moonies we can at least say that we were never members of the most wacked out cults on the planet. True,, we just happen to be # 3 on the list of most whacked out cults on the planet.
