Celebrating Motherhood

The WTS has tsken so much away from the R&F. Christmas, Easter, Mother and Father's Day, birthdays, the list goes on and on.

Every single reason that a person has to celebrate the good things in this life is taken and replaced with a fantasy for the future. Feeling good about today is only acceptable if you are out preaching the good news that people will die unless they become JWs.

There is a saying that "misery loves company". Well Rutherford and other WT presidents must have been miserable men.

The thread REPOST: For those without Mothers is hard to read but it shows that being a mother is not automatically a good thing. Some mothers just hurt those they bring into this world. Those of us who had hurting or neglectful parents know full well the extent some mother's will go towards not caring for their children.

I have read so many posts on this site where people are working hard to be better than their parents were. They make conscious choices to be better mothers and fathers. They want their children to celebrate the milestones of life. They certainly don't want to teach their children the harsh realities of what so many of us have had to go through.

Even those parents who had good JW parents realize how hurtful it is for the child to be different than their friends at school. They realize how many things they missed out on as children and want more and better for their own.

We need to celebrate good mothers.

So for all you mothers who make the choice to love your children with your whole heart

    Happy Mother's Day

Yesterday, my daughter *jokingly* asked what I wanted for Mother's day. I told her a hug was sufficient.

Even with the tears and fears I will never regret being a mother.

The hugs and 'i love you's' far outweigh anything else that comes with raising a family.

    HAPPY MOTHERS DAY
