As most of us ex-jws/jws have heard for years "Armaggeddon is around the corner" and many born-agains/ex-bacs have heard for many years as well "The rapture is on its way". I am personally sick to death of waiting for something that might just be a "myth" or dream that we got hooked into believing. Any thought about this posters were we all "duped" into believing a "fantasy"?
Is Armaggeddon/Rapture only a "myth" that is not going to happen?

I'm sick to death of that baloney too. It is all pure myth and it is time people quit wasting time thinking it is around the corner.

I am a member of the small minority that do not hold the "rapture theory" that has been popularized by the Left Behind books.
So yes, I believe that the rapture is a myth that is not going to happen.

I don't believe that the rapture happens as described by mainstream religions . The j-dubs think they will be just standing around watching all hell break loose around them . I believe that christ returns to rule, but he decends to earth ,like it's written ,he returns the same way he left, then the great crowd escape to the city of new jerusalem where the 1k year reign begins . Things do get pretty messed up here on earth . Can't say when it all goes down but world conditions are pretty ripe .

Jesus was supposed to return during the lifetimes of the original generation of believers. Thats not the way it turned out.

The whole idea of JW's only (and those that eventually join them) being the only survivors anyway is clearly a load of nonsense. Seriously, if God chose them i'd stick two fingers at him myself. Life forever with them? naaaaaaaaaaaaah no thanks
