Do JW's elders report other elders for wrongdoing or do they sweep it under the carpet? I remember there was a elder in my old cong that did not like another elder. He would always bad-mouth this particular elder in field service. He was always talking about the elders clothes looking like a "bum". So if this elder hated the other elder I am wondering would he rat this elder out if he knew of some wrongdoing. Posters do JW's elders report other elders Or is it like the Police Dept an all for one and one for all attitude?
Do you know of any JW's elders that turned in another JW's elder?

I imagine it depends on the individual elder body. Some are all chummy and buddy buddy and in some there are the usual rivalries.
I've mentioned several times that I worked for an elder who was quite a piece of work. The PO and bossman's elder-father seemed to protect him and cut him all kinds of slack, but there was another elder in the bunch who once cornered me and began asking all kinds of pointed questions about boss elder. I was still new to the troof and didn't want to get in the middle of anything so I down played my concerns and didn't say anything.
Interesting thing, was that this elder who was looking for dirt on my boss, was himself DF'd several years later. My boss managed to avoid DFing, but he was required to step down as elder. I'm sure either one of those guys would have been happy to turn the other in.

There's no hard and fast rule of thumb that they follow on this issue.
Some elder bodies are fairly well integrated and united, and elder's kids are judged less harshly and get more priveleges than others.
Other elder bodies are bitterly divided and full of rivalries and hatreds, and would sell each other out for 30 pieces of silver.
Just like any other human enterprise, there is infinite variation and it's dependent on the vagaries of human relationships and imperfections--this is why it's ridiculous to submit yourself to other imperfect humans in a religious context.

Yes, I have seen it.....and if you can get the other elders against someone, even without a serious wrongdoing ......take it to the CO and the accused elder can be asked(forced) to stepdown. The elder body is supposed to be unified. Sad that maybe only one in the bunch is really a good person.

As purplesofa said, a significant role of the CO is to look after the body of elders. Rivalries arise between elders and they run to the CO to dob on each other and get them removed.
On the other hand some bodies of elders are very close and hide things under the carpet, this is a particular problem when the body of elders are in smaller country congregations and all related.

This is the significant point here. I wanna be PO so let me squeal on Elder X and get the rest of the body to not trust him.... happens quite often.

Neighbour congregation to the one I attended, had some of my family in it. The original PO was brought down by another Elder who got asigned to replace him. It was over the original PO's child getting into mischief, and being hidden.
I also remember an Elder saying to me - a baptised publisher at the time - that another Elder wasn't taking the lead going out on the field service and that he was going to have a word.
