    Hey everybody,

I have a few questions I was hoping you lovely people could help me with:

1.If I want to send a prayer through Jesus name, what is a sentence that does this?

    2. If a homeless person prays for a job, would God give that man a job?

    3. How do I know my prayers to God are being listened by God?

    Thanks all.

I can’t believe no one answered you.

    1. If I want to send a prayer through Jesus name, what is a sentence that does this?

I say my prayer blahblah blah get me out of jail blah blah "in Jesus Christ name I pray to you amen"

That’s what I say. It’s not written in stone or any thing but just remember that you are praying to Jehovah but you only have this opportunity because Jesus died so you are praying through Jesus. At least this is my understanding.

    2. If a homeless person prays for a job, would God give that man a job?

Put your burdens on Jehovah and he will help you. If the man is sincere in his prayer then, yes. I seem to only remember to pray when I’m in trouble which is sad. But dude prayer helps. And I just can’t deny that.

    3. How do I know my prayers to God are being listened by God?

Jehovah hears all prayers. But I do remember hearing somewhere your prayers could be hindered. I don’t know the circumstances of that but God is such a forgiving one I’m sure you would have to be unrepentant or something. I don't mean like you hit that kid and you meant to and you’re not taking it back. Something more like you killed that chick and to justify it you killed that man and those two chicks and you don’t care what anyone thinks and if they get near you, you wanna kill them too.
I don’t really see why a person like that would want to talk to God but he might and I really can’t even say that HE wouldn't listen to their prayer.

1.If I want to send a prayer through Jesus name, what is a sentence that does this?

"Dear God, I approach you through Jesus' name..... blah blah blah..... in Jesus' name I beseech you. Amen."

    2. If a homeless person prays for a job, would God give that man a job?

It all depends on what the homeless person is actually doing to find a job, besides praying for one. I've never prayed for a job, but I always put myself out there to find one when I needed one.

    3. How do I know my prayers to God are being listened by God?

Unfortunately, you don't know. If you get what you want, you can assume that God listened to your prayer and granted your wish like a great wise genie in a bottle. If you don't get what you want, either God wasn't listening, or his answer was "No".

I hope you find a job.... please don't rely solely on prayer to find one, though. From personal experience, prayer doesn't have a very good success rate at getting you what you want unless there is action on your part toward that goal.

(Mat 18:19 NIV) "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven."

All you need to do is find someone to agree with you and unless Christ was lying it will be done.

Thank you all very much. I have another question though. I was told somewhere that God can't give things directly as this would please Satan and means he would win(?). So I'm assuming God can only help and not directly give?

    Thanks again.

Dial 1, and then enter the country code.

I think that GOD has a priority list and I am low on it?

Wouldn't that mean that God is a bit of a sadist? You ask for something, and he'd "like" to give it to you, but he can't do that without proving that Satan was right about God only giving things to people he likes, so he'll "help" instead....

Seriously, people need to stop using prayer as a form of superstition that sends them into a vortex of helplessness, and actually get off their butt and DO SOMETHING about their situation instead of just praying about it and hoping their magic genie, God, will pop out of the bottle and grant them their every wish.

As with humans one needs to be close to God to ask for the bigger favours in life. As the relationship gets closer one finds greater freedom to ask more.

    A german proverb:

"Pray as if there is nothing you can do to help, and live like there is nothing God can do to help."
