Someone just hit my car!

  Hubby and I were packing our truck for a couple of days away at our cabin, and we hear a loud bang~!

  We looked out on the road and there was a pickup taking off the side of my car! We had just parked the car on the road so we could load the pickup with wood for the cabin not 15 minutes before. This guy was following a large cube van too closely and didn't see the car! Thankfully he wasn't hurt, but my bumper is lying on the road and the whole drivers side is pretty much toast!

  I'm not real upset about the car getting hit - these things happen. What did piss me off though was I just spent $400 on a new exhaust YESTERDAY!! I've been putting up with a noisy exhaust for too long, and just bit the bullet and got it fixed YESTERDAY!!!!!!!!!

  Oh well, what are you going to do eh??

  You too!!?? I just spent ~$850 on mine as well and what happens? Some woman runs into me last week... what a bummer.

  Sorry it happened to you too. Glad no one was hurt.

  Doesn't that just piss you off? Spending all that money then bam!!

  Hopefully nobody was hurt in your situation either.

  Now we just have to wait and see what the insurance company says. Fortunately it's on the truck drivers insurance. The drivers side of the car is toast.

  Well there is a wicked thunderstorm that's going through the area, so I have to sign off!

  I totally feel for you. But sometimes these things come out good in the long run:

  A couple of weeks ago, I spent $250 on a brake job. Three days later, someone pulled a u-turn in front of me. A week after the accident, I was driving a brand new car. No one was hurt, except my Ford Focus. Now I'm driving a cute lil Mini. So I guess things worked out.

  Glad you're ok Bumble Bee.... cars can be replaced, but you can't be!

  My car also got hit about a week ago as it was parked on the side of a road by an unknown driver, not that bad, there was a shallow dent on the right passenger door about one foot in diameter.

  Daystar! I feel for you! I just got rear ended about four hours ago! My pretty new Ranger now has a saggy butt and I with a stiff neck! Ill be okay but my "tonka toy" looks like crap! Glad you weren't in your car when it was hit!

  Thats terrible!! I am sorry!!! You seem to be taking it pretty well! At least you weren't near it when it was struck!
