Interesting story from Anthropology Class

We were discussing how race is not biological but is a cultural term used to suppress peoples based on presumed biological inferiorities.

One guy at the front of the class raised his hand and insisted that people of different races were fundamentally different, not just on the surface and that they came from different origins.

He then went on to say that he was a creationist.

I shouted out, "How many Adam and Eve's do you think god created?" which the class thought was a funny but good point.

I thought it was interesting that this white male creationist had to make the point that he thought races were inherently different.

Actually, I don't find this very surprising at all.

Religions, especially Judeo-Christian variations, are very
elitist. Most religions believe that they are God's chosen people,
and are inherently superior to everyone else.

I was surprised at how blunt he was willing to be in a public forum.
