You know how fond JWs were of buzz words, the truth, etc. Well one thing I remember vividly is one teenager that referred to someone as being DF'd while we were at a party (pronounced Dee-effed) and everyone else being so confused. The JWs here never talked like that at all they always said disfellowshipped. Similarly I don't remember them ever using the word old light but my father uses it all the time probably due to the influence of JWD. I was wondering what other linguistic clues might have tipped you off the person speaking might not be on the up and up "theocratic" wise as it were. ;)

There was also a minor scandal about the JW run dating sites that used the kingdom ministry song for the week as the password and how that was untheocratic. Plus I always wondered how they found those sites without searching for jehovahs witnesses on the internet..Anyone have anything similar they remember?

My elder/ELDER brother always uses the phrases J-dub, DF'd, DA'd etc...

I wonder if they all use that language behind closed doors. I know it was frowned on when the rank and file did it but it was an elder's kid that said DF'd in the first place.

Most of the Witnesses I know (West Coast) use "Dee Efft." Never heard anybody say "Dee Ayed" or "Jay-Dub" though.

There is also "flashing light" and "Bud light" I prefer the latter.

I got a laugh when I heard someone had discovered jw dating sites. There is no way they could have discovered them without wading through a hundred or more Poztateā„¢ sites.

Dang, I never used those aposta-terms until I came here. LOL 'Course, I'd never surfed through JW or xJW sites on the net either.

if you say "rank and file" referring to the average peon witness yer an apostate.
    da "troof"
    "witnoid"
    "Jehovah's Witless"

these are all signs of a raging apostate infection
    ;)
