  Hamas vows revenge after Israel kills 3 children

  Hamas's armed wing vowed Friday to renew its attacks on Israel, hours after the Israeli navy killed 10 Palestinians, including a family with three children who were having a picnic on a crowded Gaza beach.

  Medical officials said the casualties included five members of one family, including a woman and two infants six and 18 months old.

  About 20 other people were injured.

  Israeli forces temporarily halted their bombardment of the area after the deaths were reported. Capt. Jacob Dallal expressed regret for the harm to civilians, adding that army officials offered medical assistance on the scene.

  Yoav Galant, chief of the Israeli Military Southern Command, said the army was investigating the killings on the beach, and that he also regretted the civilian deaths.

  "We did not fire into a place where there were innocents," Galant told Reuters in a conference call. "We are exploring two possibilities, a wrongly aimed artillery shell or an independent incident we were not involved in."

  He did not elaborate on who else may have been behind the killings.

  Excuse me for getting a little bit political here, because after all we are supposed to be neutral, right?

  Why does the media continue to show me the casualties of innocent men, women and children, BUT I HAVE YET TO SEE ONE DEAD BODY FROM 911!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  Warlock, hi -

  I know how you feel. Innocent people dying before their time is always sad. Weren't most of the people in the WTC bldgs. burned in the attack, therefore no body to be found? Same w/the Oklahoma City bombings though there were some photos of saved children and adults.

  It's all so sad. Don't feel like you can't express your feelings here. Some will get excited and snarfy about things and others don't. It's good to get it off your chest so to speak.

  Thank you. It just wants to make me scream........ "but what about the innocent, dead Americans?"

  Some have said (not here, that I know of) that American Foreign Policy brought it upon them, but then you could say the same thing about other countries who have had some of their civilians targeted. I just think, if you are going to be fair, show me the injured American victims and not just those from another country.
