Well, for those going I thought I would include an item that can be used to spread apostate ideas to those who are hard of hearing.

Find out what frequency the convention is using to broadcast and simply tune this circuit to that frequency. Make a small "apostate" tape that possibly loops and plug the headphone jack of your walkman or mp3 player into the jack of this circuit and watch the fun. The convention brothers might have transmitter sweepers so you probably would have to keep an eye out for them closing in on you. Would be great to play it for a while, watch them sweep the arena and then turn the circuit off, repeat, until you drive them nuts. I'm sure an announcement would be made!!

You would have to sitting very close to the reciever for that to work. And since there aren't really any "hard-of-hearing" sections anymore, the ones using walkmans to hear the program would all be spread out. But you're right, it would be hilarious to do that. I was thinking it could be a tape of some death metal.

The transmitter that I built in high school will transmit for a one block radius and will override any radio station you tune it to. Look into building your own circuit and tweaking it for more power.

Better than Apostate messages, why not get some old man with a chilling, powerful voice to announce that he is JEEEEEEEEE-HOVAH and to hit the deck as Armageddon is arriving in 10...9...8...6...7... etc and watch the panic confessions!!!

I don't know, I built a circuit similiar to this when I was younger and actually over road a local station within a few block area.

All you would have to do is substitute a jack for the microphone. Increase the antenna length by looping it around a brief case, and your in business.

This is awsome!!! I was just about to post the same thing. I had been thinking about it for some time. My thought was to get an electric wheel chair and mount a larger transmitter on it. This way you can use the bigger battery and have a larger antenna. and if anyone wanted to question you about a signal you could complain that they were harrasing a cripple. Plus you would get a better location from which to broadcast. lol....
