Have you installed your WT "Keeping Spiritually Clean" software?

I believe its coming. Big Brother WT cant control the internet, they tried to shut down all anti JW sites, they threatened those who went to any sites that mentioned JW beliefs even if it was pro-JW....they DFd JWs who published books or had sites about the organization even if they were pro-JW....they developed their OWN web sites to counter the flow...then came the JW DATING sites, the JW CHAT rooms,...they CANNOT STEM THE FLOW! So... they will develop software (spyware) that all "loyal" JWs will have to have on their computers that will prevent them from going to any non-approved web sites containing any anti-JW information. The software will be programmed to not allow any sites containing certain "buzz words" to open. Chances are good those "buzz phrases" may be their own since apostates use them often, and the only site that will open up will then be their own when those phrases are searched. Failure to put this software on your home computer (and your family members WILL turn you in because they will be on the hook TOO for this) will immediately indicate that you DISAGREE with the guidance that the Watchtower is giving you, that you WANT to visit nonapproved sites, that you ARE interested in reading apostate, worldly, damaging sites and therefore are questionable yourself and will be called into a committee meeting so fast your mouse will spin. Drop in checks by the elders to see if you have this on your computer would just be part of their "sheparding" calls.

They already forbid you to take literature from other religions, forbid you to talk to or associate with exjws or opposers, keep you separated from worldly neighbors, school mates, work mates. They tried to keep people out of R rated movies until the VCR came along. They "DRAMA"d us to death about youth listening to bad music and having worldly friends...the noose is tightening. The internet is a loose canon....and its rolling down the hill towards their front door.

I was thinking that this could be part of an upcoming version of the WT CD ROM. That way, the software could be embedded as part of the installation process for the CD ROM, and if you didn't click on "accept" to install the spyware, the installation would cack. That would help to eliminate the use of the CD ROM by "unauthorized users", and keep tabs on the JWs at the same time.

Here's a spin on this idea. What if we made that software and peddled it JW's for $50.00 a pop! Easy money! We could do mass mailings to all of the congregations we know. I'm serious here.

I swear I remember hearing a few years back that the WT actually was trying to develop something like this. There used to be a guy online here who was at Bethel...an "inside source" who used to post incredibly insightful things. He had a long list of resources and quotes from the literature about damn near anything you could search for he had information on. I wish I could remember who that was....used to refer to his research all the time. Anybody know who Im talking about?

Is it truly a fact that the FDS disfellowshipped JWs who were keeping pro WTS sites? If it is it shows how terribly dictatorial they are.

Whatever the case they just can't defeat the internet and the way it exposes their true history and intentions.

Next they will be implanting micro chips that will zap them if they come close to an apostate! lol If they did something like that on software, isn't that somehow violating freedom of _________ something or other. Wouldn't they have to make it known they are doing that? Oops, blonde moment, forgot who I was talking about.

I can't see the US government stepping in to overturn anything the Watchtower wants to do.

I wouldn't entirely put it past them, but if they did this, it wouldn't stop people from using their computers at work, school or public libraries, so it really wouldn't work. Besides, some computer savvy people could find a way around it. And how many of us don't have more than one computer? If I was stuck with that sort of rule, the software, if it must, would go on the one I rarely use. There's no way anything like that would work.

My guess is having or using a home computer will become what having a television used to be ... self righteous people will claim to have gotten rid of their TV or "put it up" as they said in my area. I always said they "put it up" higher so they could see it easier. LOL.

The idea is not silly at all.

There isn't anything legally wrong with it. They can just say that it is a program that gives you and your kids protection agains pornographic and other dangerous sites. (no real lies, just misleading info)

many JW's happy to install it.

bro S to sister D: "Well sister it is such a blessing, the failtfull slave. They have now developed a very nice program that helps us to resists the continues attacks of Satan the Debil"

    "Really brother?"

    "yes"

"O goosy, I am going to install it right away. I am so happy that they take care of all our needs..."

    etc

It would be pretty simple for them, really. Anything that mentions Jehovah or Sex that's not on the official watchtower page would be blocked.
