Only if all money goes to the WTS so that their spiritual need can be taken care of first of all.

The serious answer is NO. If an individual wanted to organize a Garage Sale for the purpose of helping out a needy family it would be on a personal and not a congregational basis.

I know the elders wouldn't consider it "proper", and I doubt that many others would, but it would be fun to hear of someone trying it. I'd suggest about 20 minutes into the public talk would be a good time, just when people are starting to drop to sleep. Giving them something to read would lift the boredom.
