It occurs to me that if we're using this tragedy as an opportunity to support our views, maybe we're no better than JWs are when they play on people's fears in the preaching work.
Is it really time to argue religion??

Maybe you are right. I do feel if other religious people have the right to tell me to pray to god to help, I have the right to tell them god does not care. But, you are right, I will give it a break.

Jay, I certainly believe that applies both ways. People of faith do not need to preach in a time like this. If anything, lets see some good old fashioned, down to earth good works to help our fellow human beings. I certainly think this is something we can agree on.

I don't really see anyone arguing "religion" right now.
What I do see is people with real questions and feelings about what has happened today. When you have different people with different beliefs commenting your gonna get different takes on what it all means.
Just my oppinion though.

Of course, I don't mean that so literally. Let me put it this way: Are we more concerned with the circumstances "proving" some idea or belief of ours, religious or not, or are we more concerned about the actual human suffering out there? I'm not pointing any fingers, but I think that's something that would be worth considering. Because it is easy to point a finger, whether to witnesses or other people, but if someone is more concerned about winning an argument then I'd say some soul searching is called for.
