"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life; and he that BELIEVETH NOT the Son shall not see life; but the WRATH OF GOD abideth on him." ( John 3:36 )

"For the WRATH OF GOD is revealed from heaven against all UNGODLINESS and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness." ( Romans 1:18 )

"Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: for which things' sake the WRATH OF GOD COMETH on the CHILDREN OF DISOBEDIENCE." ( Colossians 3:5,6 )

    >"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life; and he that BELIEVETH NOT the Son shall not see life; but the WRATH OF GOD abideth on him." ( John 3:36 )

You can't even experience that until you pass from this physical life. Why wouldn't you hear this is a church? That and more like it are regularly preached.

    >"For the WRATH OF GOD is revealed from heaven against all UNGODLINESS and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness." ( Romans 1:18 )

Same answer here, Scoots old boy.

    >"Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry: for which things' sake the WRATH OF GOD COMETH on the CHILDREN OF DISOBEDIENCE." ( Colossians 3:5,6)

Now, 'to put the icing on the cake', the wrath of God indeed cometh. Every single human being has or will die at some time. Only the Son of God has returned....

A statement unprovable. A statement unknowable to anyone except God Himself. By the way, do you actually think the activities and attitudes in the third scripture are benefical (in practice)? Thanks for posting so many Bible verses. Paul told us in Philippians that even gospel preached for the wrong reasons would have the beneficial expect. I bet you had no idea that you are actually PROMOTING scripture just by quoting it! LOL

God's wrath is darkness - ignorance, not knowing him, left to your own

    • Let no one deceive you with empty words, for it is because of these things that the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience.
    • God's wrath has come upon them at last
    • the wrath of God rests upon him
    • As I swore in my wrath, `They shall never enter my rest.'
On the one hand it's merciful and accords with free will, because you don't really know or believe it's even happening -as is seen
    • as for the destruction of the wicked, you will see it

    - it's not about meteorites on fire and buildings and cars falling on you

Shining One and A Paduan: "And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels. In flaming fire TAKING VENGEANCE on them that KNOW NOT God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be PUNISHED with EVERLASTING DESTRUCTION from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power." ( 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9 )

This is what this NT writer thought the 'wrath of God' would mean for those who, "know not God."

.....but know something else I suppose.

I believe that for those who see it, the punishment is severe, as I have written above.

When you say "This is what this NT writer thought....." what do you suppose is 'implied' ?

A Paduan: Forgive me for being obtuse, but I often struggle to grasp what you're saying to me. I make no secret of the fact that I'm not very bright, and that I don't undertstand your last post or the one before that. I won't be offended if you spell things out more clearly with me than you might do in responding to other people's posts. Hope you don't mind. Kind regards, by the way.

If the wrath of God rested with you, what do you imagine that means ?

A Paduan: Forgive me again, but I don't quite understand your question. If your reference to God's wrath,'resting' upon people is a Biblical one, can you give me the chapter and verse, and then I'll be in a better position to reply to you?
