littletoo is a smart fellow,
I think he is right.
That is that if you consider yourself a christian you should eat the bread and dring the wine -

i have to say that whatever teaching you have questions about, research it for your own peace of mind - but if you are doing it to convince ya family you might aswell beat your head against a wall
which would be a shame - such a pretty head

There are lots of things that would make a thinking person think.
There is nothing that would make a JW think (until he is ready to do the thinking of his own accord - IMO).
I think the more you said to them the more they would (a) cry - oh we love you soo much and look how far the devil has got you (b) 'reason with you from the scriptures' and come up with every lame brain argument you know you have heard before (c) get mad at you and say you are an evil apostate and we want nothing more to do with you.
I would act like the queen, when the tabloids say shes a lesbian, or some other such rubbish. Ignore it. Keep your own dignity. Say nothing. Oh, and dodge them when they make a grab for your hair!

Jesus at no time said only those who would be kings and priest with me will partake of the bread and wine. He said all. Why they JW have divided up the followers makes no sense when it is thought about. I think the so called flock was an excuse to give power to the governing body in the end.
Having only the remanant of the 144,000 partake is totally unscriptural.

I couldn’t find the site (Maybe someone knows it), but in the occult there is a celebration of the death of Christ, it is celebrated at Nissan 14 after sundown. They sit in circles of five or thirteen and say a blessing before passing the emblems. And very significantly, no one partakes of the wine & bread in symbol of there rejection of Christ -"no thanks Jesus". Now, what does that remind you of?

The taking of bread and wine isn't restricted to purely one faith. Basically I agree with LT that the JWs are wrong in forbidding the taking of those symbols. It is a personal decision; no set of men in Brooklyn deserve to make that decision for others.
As for the "no thanks Jesus" title to this thread, I think that the individuals concerned are not necessarily thinking like that, but, it is such a crying shame that they don't get the opportunity to excersize their faith in that way.

"...if you consider yourself a christian you should eat the bread and drink the wine"
Which means that the vast majority of the JWs are not really Christians. Indeed if they don't belong to the New Covenent then where do they belong? To the old covenent? -
