In Afghanistan, the so-called faction claiming to be the ruling party over the nation is urging (Politicalese term for begging) the USA not to bomb them. Why ask not to be bombed unless they are guilty of harboring the wicked terrorists? Read for yourself. - Amazing

These taliban are scumbags who absolutely need to be uninstalled. Not only they are harboring Bin Laden who deserves to be shaved head to toe and tossed naked into a US maximum security prison, but their treatment of women is among the worst in the world. They also support public execution, amputations, systematic killings, kidnappings.
I'm not saying they should necessarily be bombed, just that they be removed with extreme prejudice.

Well Amazing it seems the playing field (so to speak) is being cleared. It the afghani government had no part in this then whey haven't they given up this monster????? Seems they would rather risk the lives of their countrymen than give him up. Hand and glove with him seems to me no matter what his history with thier country. If he wasn't involved then he should seek a meeting with U.S. officials in afghani and let them know where he stands. He would still be in the country, and if not guilty then he should help to find them. He wont and they won't so retribution however preceived may infact fall and then again may not. Remains to be seen. Buff

I certainly despise the Taliban for, among other things, their treatment of women, but there are other motives for asking not to be bombed besides harboring the terrorists. If the world assumes they are harboring the terrorists, that's as good a reason for worry as if they really are doing so.
However, U.S. newscasts yesterday said that intelligence reports indicated bin Laden is no longer there.

If the Taliban help bin Laden in any way then it doesn't matter if he is not there now.. they are still culpable.

julien,
Agreed 100%, but only if bin Laden is behind this.

They say the people of Afganistan already have misery. Give me a break. Most of the misery there has been created by the Taliban.
