I was thinking the other day. When I was just a plain 'ol publisher I was not 'privileged' to any apostate material or really any behind the scenes of the society. But, as an elder you get to read alot of DA letters that explain peoples findings about the lies the society has told. You also get to see firsthand the strange way elders handle 'disfellowshipping' matters and the way they handle pedophiles. I don't get it..the first inkling I had that the society might be wrong on a major doctrine I was all over it. How come most elders don't see it?? Are they to blinded by their power or do they really think that this religion they are serving could never be wrong NO MATTER what? Any thoughts?

I wonder if the elders actually read the long letters they get from DF'd or people or people who want to DA.
Any ex- (or current!) elders out there who want to add in their experience?
