I just wrote to a former friend and current elder. I'd like him to check out one of my JWD postings. I suspect, since we haven't seen each other in some 35 years, he'll do it out of curiosity. This is what I wrote:

    Allen,
I’ve thought of you lately and it reminded me of a quote I saw on the internet awhile back:
"Allen Bridgeman was truly one of the nicest and most caring witnesses I ever met ..."
If you have a computer you may want to look it up.
    Take care,
    Lenny

My point here is how Tinyurl.com can reduce any URL to one that is not recognizable by looking at it, not until you actually click on the link. You may want to try it.

He is a nice guy. Too bad he is still deceived by the Watchtower. I hope he checks the link out and looks a bit more. maybe he will learn the truth about the WTBTS.

Ah, yes, Honesty. We have talked about this topic, you and I. I hope things are going well in your part of Tennessee.

    Thanks for the encouragement, Drew.
I had two reasons to start this thread. One of them, of course, is the letter is sent to Allen.
The other, and one that I don't want to get lost is TinyUrl.com, a free service that takes an internet address, an URL, and shortens it -- but more important, in some cases, disguises it. Try it once and you'll probably like it:
    http://tinyurl.com

    For example, http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/7/116798/reply.ashx turns into:http://tinyurl.com/huo7b

Why, if used appropriately, this could constitute "theocratic warfare!"

    Love it!

That wouldn't hardly be fair at all. No, wait -- I think someone said, "All is fair in love and theocratic war".
