I travelled over 300 km's just to give blood today.

A special thanks to Scully who told me how to relax, and not be a nervous wreck like I am each time I give blood.
Funny story, ok still dealing with some issues years later, so by the time I decided to give blood, it was something I had to work up to get the nerve to do it, so when my church was having a blood drive I decided ok I will go and give blood, the red cross lady had me fill out a form with a bunch of qustions, well turns out I was unable to give blood due to my tatoos, ha, ha, ha, for some reason I started laughing and still makes me laugh. well they said I would have to wait a year from my last tatoo in order to be able to give.

Yeah, it's so hot here Scully, that I will drink 1 or 2 tonight.
I have to replenish those pipes with liquid.
I've given blood a few times. Last time they had a terrible time finding a good vein. Probably won't try it anymore because my veins leave a lot to be desired. Glad to hear others are giving blood we need to.

I just gave blood last Saturday....now I'm considering double red blood cell donation, takes a little longer but less often. I'm O positive, 85% people can use my blood (O negative--100%).
It gets easier and easier. They had mint Girl Scout cookies at the 15-minute waiting area, my favorite.

In Oz they can't buy blood, it has to be donated, so they have especially low stocks all the time. I've been with Mr Frass when he donated and it was pretty confronting. I'll go for the first time the next time he does.
