Do you know who your great great great great great grandfather is? Do you know the name of relatives in the first century or in the time known as BC? If not, then wouldn't it make sense that no one else would either. Even if they did know the names, do they have any emotional contact to them? I have always wondered, if heaven were real, then wouldn't there be a place in heaven for each time frame that existed in history? After all, wouldn't a Roman who died in 100 BC, be confused with a man who died in 2002 speaking about the Internet or a computer? It seems that heaven is designed with one thing in mind, to allow people still living to feel better about those who passed. Until when? Until they die and see what may or may not really exist beyond the physical life as we know it. In time, one generation comes and another goes and no one care or even remembers them, right? In that case, would heaven be more like a waiting room perhaps, were you wait until all the people who knew or cared about you died and when they all passed and no one had a clue who you were, it might be time to ride this ride again? I am not expressing any belief here, in any certainty, but why would you want to spend eternity in a place with no challenges, no color of emotions, and no variety that had no chance involved? Other then to maybe give comfort to those who miss you, and then start over and go again. Just something I was thinking about today, when I heard someone say, "Heaven sounds boring." In time, you would seem to want something else to look forward too and life, even at it's worst, is something we all seem to want to hold on too.

There is a party.
Everyone is there.
Everyone will leave
at exactly the same time.
It's hard to imagine
that nothing at all
could be so exciting
could be so much fun.
Heaven, heaven is a place
A place where nothing
nothing ever happens.
Heaven, heaven is a place
A place where nothing
nothing ever happens.

You and I - may kill ourselves
You and I - go straight to hell
Where they have barbeque and beer
Better than they do up here
And you know all the words to the songs
Yeah - we smoke cigarettes
We dance with the dead
They're soft to the touch
We drink way too much
And darling, I think you'll like it here
You might like it here

Heaven, much like the belief in Everlasting Life, sounds so boring.
