A older man came into the hardward store yesterday complaining of feeling very sick and dehydrated.
The personel sat him down on a garden bench, gave him water and moist towels to cool him down.
He was very grateful. It was heart warming to watch the wicked worldly people being so kind to him.
I sat with him until he felt better.
What are you doing to stay cool????

Don't forget: Just because you don't feel thirsty, doesn't mean you don't need to keep drinking fluids during times like this.

Very important words, warlock.
When you are feeling thirsty, you are ALREADY dehydrated, so don't wait until you feel it before you drink.
A useful rehydration mix if you have no access to the ones on sale is:
1 teaspoon salt + 3-4 teaspoons sugar (if allowed) in 1 litre of water. Add some dilute fruit juice if you don't like the taste!
You should take regular sips of this rather than try drinking it all in one go - yuk!

I wear very light cloths covering as little part of the body as possible, drink plenty of very cold water or juices, stay in the shade, do only light work.
I nearly had a heat stroke in 2002 (too much sun exposure while fishing at a lake) and I was feeling very dizzy, so that afternoon I went in the car and drove around with the air condition on at maximum level and after a while the dizziness disappeared. -
