So what really happened in 1914?

Just got to the point in the 'Gentile Times' book where he starts talking about the WTS claim that Christs Kingdom was set up in 1914. This of course contradicts a number of sciptures including:
Eph 1:20 - that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms. 21Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else in this world or in the world to come. 22And God has put all things under the authority of Christ, and he gave him this authority for the benefit of the church. 23And the church is his body; it is filled by Christ, who fills everything everywhere with his presence.
    and
Matthew 28:18 - Jesus came and told his disciples, "I have been given complete authority in heaven and on earth.
So here is the question, how the the WTS reconcile this? What more could Jesus be given in 1914 that he didn't allready have after he had been resurrected and raised to heaven. I really want to know so that I can be prepared for the Witness defense. The reason for me posting this is because I plan on using this in the future to stump a JW friend of mine that is open to all sorts of talk (he knows all about my stance, but isn't about turing people in. He thinks it's stupid).
So what is the JW answer for this? I really would like to know.

The witness answer will be a combination of "the great apostasy" among the christians somewhere in, oh...the 3rd century? Along with the same old "signs of his presence", verses ripped out of context from Luke 21, Matthew 24 etc. Their doctrine is completely unscriptural, of course, there is nothing in the Bible about Jesus taking over power in heaven twice. Point that out to them. Also, when they bring up verses from the Gospels, show them that there is nothing in those verses hat indicates that those verses is about Jesus taking power in heaven invisibly! On the contrary, the "signs of the end of age" are about his physical return to earth. His return to earth will be clear for everyone to see, signs in the sky, roaring of the ocean, etc. "Parousia" doesn`t mean "invisible presence", it just means "presence". Look up any greek dictionary.

To add to your burden, my friend:

WT 2002 1/10 page 18 par 3: commentary on Col 1:13: it says that Jesus was awarded royal subjects for the christians were brought into the kingdom of his love.

so much for the kingdom of love. ...It ended at the latest 70 years later. ........I´ve got the power.........

    Cheers
