I hope it's not true. He's provided his B sample to be tested.
The French could be trying to screw him.
He may be a doper.
Testing of the B sample should clarify things.
Four days! That's exactly how long it took before the European press, in their insane jealousy, decided to smear another American that dared to beat them in their own game. In some ways I am glad that the USA got skunked in the World Cup. Can you imagine the allegations that would be made if the USA ever does win that tournament.

This sport has become more sorted than boxing. These guys are more pumped up than professional wrestlers and baseball players. Sad. I'm really wondering about Lance now. Was he cheating and just smarter about it?
It's a real shame about Landis testing positive. I'm hoping his B result will be negative. Cycling's governing bodies really need to get a handle on this cos it happens every year. It's not a witch hunt for american riders either, more French, Spanish, Italian, German etc riders have been thrown out in the past.
I'd like to think positively about Lance Armstrong as he was put under far more scrutiny than any other rider in history when it came to doping and he came out clean. There were studies on his natural physical attributes and how he has superbly trained his body to pump more blood, use more oxygen and work with greater efficiency.
Just perusing the news it looks like the 100m sprinter Justin Gatlin has tested positive too. Still got a B sample to test yet though like Landis.
Hmmmm
Being a qualified Personal Trainer, 'doping' is a subject that interests me greatly.
My peronal stance and opinion of many of my contemporaries, is that ALL modern day atheletes are enhancing their perfomance in some way or other! They have to in order to keep up, it's the way it ticks now and there's waaaay too much money involved.
As for Lance Armstrong (his noble and gutsy fight against cancer aside) well let me relate this.
My friend who is a keen road cyclist (recently cycled from Lancashire, England to Barcelona, Spain) tells me that the latest technology is genetic manipulation and thinks that is what Armstrong used, apart from drugs and his natural ability.
The masking and hiding of these drugs in the body is just as advanced a science as the drugs themselves.
