Hello all,
I was wondering, what can I do as an individual to help the people in NY and DC. I can't donate blood because I have leukemia. I can't go to NYC to try and help because I'm not able to travel now due to undergoing chemo. My partner Kevin was thinking about going to NY with members of his union but he didn't go because he didn't want to leave me alone. We made a monetary donation to the Red Cross and we have our flag flying outside the house, but it just doesn't feel like it's enough. I don't know if anything we could do would really be "enough". We spent Tuesday by the phone because Kevins stepbrother works in the Amex building and he is ok. After that I went with Kev so that he could donate blood and at least I could be there to support him, since he is major needle phobic and this was the first time he's ever donated. It's just that as I have sat here and watched the events of the last few days I just feel like I need to do something to help, but I can't figure out what. Any suggestions would be helpful.
Peace and love to you and yours,
Jon
