A new style of anti-witness campaign?

I was reading some threads earlier and someone mentioned using the societies literature to write school reports. How they felt smug and superior... I remember that feeling... Anyway they stated that it worked well because no one ever checked the references! I wonder if it would be possible to spread the word (through teachers associations and things) that they should SPECIFICLY check the references on papers turned in by witness youths!

I know that if I had seen the dishonesty in the quotes and source reference for my self in high school I would never have gotten baptized! I don't know how such a thing could be spread around to teachers but dubs PRIDE themselves on using the societies "research" and a good teacher can now (with the Internet) blow holes in that in 5 seconds flat! I had several good teachers in High School who really cared about me and my education and future who really tried to show me the holes in my beliefs and encourage me to go on to college but they lacked the ability to really blast my "spiritual education" and they didn't have the time to invest in doing massive research to help just one student!

I think we need to come up with a "underground" teachers guide for the educators who really want to help these poor kids who are throwing their lives away!

This is actually a bit intriguing.
Perhaps there are teacher-related websites like this one where warnings like that could be posted. Maybe just a paragraph or two that teachers might want to double check the sources - or better yet, have the STUDENT double check all original sources – if they are using the Watchtower or Awake! as the primary source for quotes or background material.
The point could be made – with a few examples – that WTS literature is notorious for the inaccuracy of its quotes, frequently pulling them out of context, especially in the areas of science, blood transfusions, etc.
If a post like this was regularly put on teacher boards, it would pretty soon spread throughout the teaching community. Imagine a few hundred teachers requiring their JW students to verify the accuracy of quotes by going to the original sources, and the kids seeing for themselves how the WTS twists things to its own ends.
I remember how important it was to me when I read the TalkOrigins essay on how the Creation book did this. Definitely helped me in leaving the WTS.

I know it would certainly have helped ME to see it! Looking back now I can see that several of my teachers almost got me and I never realized it at the time! Had they had the internet resources I would have left the "truth" back then for sure...

I think you might have read one of my threads, I had a teacher who for an assignment had a list of books that we had to pick one and either check out of the library or go and buy the book, it could be any book from the list.

I don't know if my parents were just to lazy to take me down to the library or bookstore or what but my parents use to made me use the My book of Bible Stories book to write the book report, my teacher said no that I had to write a report from the list so my parents made a big fuss at my school and my teacher had to allow me to use that book, all the kids laughed at me for my stupid ass report. My parents didn't allow Worldly books in the house, not until later when I was a teen.
