Is it evil to wish someone dead??

Even if they are not a bad person but...............

    Will karma pay me back?

I would say that it's not good, for you, to have that much hate for someone. As for the karma thing, that's just a myth.

Vitty, people wish others dead all the time . Some mean it and others are just angry. I wished my dad dead a few weeks before he killed himself and had so much guilt but i could not take the beating anymore.

As i got older i learned that i had nothing to do with his decision and no one can really wish someone dead .

If Karma was to pay back then i would have been there long ago.

Good person bad person , we all have thoughts about someone that run through our minds . That is free thought.

    I don't wish people death,

I send them subscriptions to Playboy, go to the Mormon website and schedule a bible study, or JW bible study, or call that 800 number and have important information sent to them about dealing with Genital Herpes, send them a free sample for Natural Male Enhancement, there is even a website where you can send them a free Holy Quran (don't know if I spelled that right)

Yes it may seem childish but funny as hell

To wish someone dead is a harsh thing IMO.....but...... there have been people in my life about whom i've said, "i couldn't care if they dropped dead tomorrow". I didn't WISH them dead, just cared about them soooo little that if they had died, i couldn't have given a shit.

I do appreciate being totally purple with rage about seriously bad things that people do though.

    Peace

Well, Vitty, to be pushed to this level of anger, they must have done something dreadful to you. That needs to be acknowledged and validated.

People do not wish others dead under normal circumstances, so I don't think you are jeopardizing your place in the universe to do so.

I don't believe in Karma or divine retribution or anything like that, so you're pretty safe in my estimation.

Having those feelings, though, is hurting you in the long run more than it is the person to whom you are directing them. Wouldn't it be better to deal with the situation that's making you so upset and hurt and angry and get it over with, than to let this anger fester and make you miserable?

    Hugs, Scully

It's not the best thing, that's for sure.

It's destructive for you, not them. I find if I am really angry with someone, I try to let it out and get it over with. There is no peace in constantly thinking evil thoughts about someone, it's surely better for you to deal with it if you can.

It's healthy to acknowledge that anger; honor it, but don't wallow in it. If you have serious trouble letting it go and really feel you must act on the desire for someone to be dead, it would be good to talk with a professional about it who can help with the anger management.
