I just went to the DC and was interested about the announcement that donation checks should be made payable to Watch Tower in 2 seperate words. I don't recall this being announced that way before. With the emphasis on the 2 seperate words. It was also said that the convention was arranged by the watch Tower Bible and Tract society of Pensylvania. This also seems different. Anybody else notice it? seek2find

I believe some of their official organizations are listed with 2 words and some with 1 word. Sounds like the announcement is to ensure they can funnel the funds to one of their organizations vs the other.
Was this announcement made at all conventions? Where was yours, OP? I'm curious what's up with the $.

Personally, I wouldn't have thought it would matter how 'Watchtower' is written on a cheque. If I didn't know better, I'd think it's just a (not so) subtle way of telling the R&F to get their cheque books out!

The district conventions are a first party fundraiser for the Watch Tower Corporation. The circuit assemblies are a second party fundraiser for the Watch Tower Corporation and a first party fundraiser for the circuit. Ya all didn't think the assemblies were for religious reasons did ya? These are sales rallies and fundraisers.
This thread clearly shows the division between the Watch Tower Corporation and Jehovah's Witnesses. I predict there will be a third receiving entity in the future.
As much as the Watch Tower Corporation dislikes Jehovah's Witnesses, I look for a real split in the future. It might be 50 years into the future, but I doubt it takes that long.
