A Run in

How odd. I was at a store (national chain). I was walking in think how nice it is not to feel guilty about taking my child to school for an activity on a tuesday night and not feeling guilty because it is book study night.

And I ran into two friends from the hall. Now don't get me wrong these people are really nice and probably the most genuine I have met in this small country town.

I was talking to the daughter who is my age. Five minutes into the conversation the mother invites me to the WT study on Sunday because "it's gonna be a good one".

It took all of my restraint not to say " really are they tell us when armageddon is coming? or are they ask us for money so the Bethel boys can get all the cable channels?"

No they didn't stomp out. They were very friendly I am surprised. I didn't think I would get treated so nicely since I haven't been to a meeting for over a year now. But like I said they more down to earth people than the rest in that cong.

I hate when that happens, an old friend of mine called me a few weeks ago to tell me I "need to get back in". I have some of my family on my side pressuring me to go back to meetings and then on my husbands side every time I hang around with his sister she tries to get me to sign up for bible studies at her church.

There are probably some very nice people who are UFO cult members.

The sort who wait with baitedbreath for the Space Brothers to return with their Mother Ship, etc. etc.

The fact that they are nice does not change that their world view is inaccurate and dysfunctional.
