The WTS and 9/11.

  How many of you remember the scary pictures in the Revelation book? How many of you remember the images of the buildings on fire, crashing down on people? Did anyone notice that the WTS did NOT push this book at all immediately following 9/11?

  Here's another question, if Bin Laden took down the Towers, and the WTS says that God is going to destroy office buildings and crush people to death with them - what the f--k is the difference between the two? If the JWs really believe that God is going to do this than how is He any better than Bin Laden?

  No not really but then I ususally don't know what they are pushing

  The result is the same but the one who does it is different - holy, sacred

  If the JWs really believe that God is going to do this than how is He any better than Bin Laden?

  It's been taught in times past by the WTS that certain worldly entities and governments were used as an agent of Jehovah, though not worshippers of him.

  I wonder how that would have gone over right after 9/11? Bin laden an agent of Jehovah to execute his righteousness upon the capitalist world?

  Oh wait...other nutcase religious leaders tried that tack and got soundly ridiculed and beaten down for it.

  Notice that the WTS of today tries hard to stay out of public's eye when something happens that can bring negative press to them. How different is that from the WTS of Rutherford's day when they were looking for fights and daring people to challenge them?

  How do you know that it was Bin Laden that took down the Towers?

  Do you have any "real" proof?

  Maybe it was a conspiracy, and Bin Laden was only executing someone else's idea?

  Or he had nothing to do with it.

  Maybe Rome was involved?

  The "Christians" see the Islam spread too fast. They devise a scheme.

  We'll blow up a major building and blame the Moslims.

  "Christianity" is in it's seat again.

  How do you know that it was Bin Laden that took down the Towers?

  You do need a brew ...the point of the thread isn't who caused 9/11 but the similarities between the WT description of Armageddon and that awful day.

  I don't think the WTS is any different than bin laden. The watchtower says that the cities will be destroyed at armageddon. That is not good because you can't just destroy a city without killing innocent civilians.

  Exactly Headmath. Furthermore, JWs have the nerve to knock on everyone's door and tell them that if they don't choose the WTS they will get smoked in Armageddon. To me, it sounds exactly like what the Muslims are saying "Convert to Islam or we'll convert you to ashes".
