MONOPOLY?
OK, it's the school holidays and I'm playing Monopoly with Master Midwich (what an exciting life I lead)...and he picks up the 'Community Chest' card - ''It's Your Birthday, collect £10 from each player''....
So, (and I KNOW I need to get out more) - would Dubs:-
a) Not play Monopoly
b) Remove the offending card at beginning of game
c) Play anyway (but feel guilty/rebellious)?

I don't know about anyone else, but I certainly would've taken out that pagan birthday card!
That card was REMOVED permanently from our families monopoly set.
At first my mom would set it aside, but little smart ass stuck it back in the deck a couple of times...
I haved played Monopoly for years in JW settings. Nothing was ever removed from the game because of someone's "spiritual" sensibilities. Played with pioneers, elders, Bethelites, CO and wife.
The only objection I heard was from one sister who thought all competitive games were wrong. So we didn't make her play.
It's amazing to me how some JWs make things into serious issues that are really Gnat issues while they gulp down the Camel issues of gossiping about and judging their fellow worshippers.
