Friday was hell as the owner of the shop told me to be at work no matter what. He knows I am fighting this CA. and am going thru chemo. Saturday we were very busy and I just had a hard time dealing with everything. Jake is very protective of me and he is not dealing with this very well. I think if I just stop everything maybe all will come back to normal. He took me to a flea market which I love to do and I was assaulted by a redneck but he didn't know Jake is a former green beret and in good shape so he beat the hell out of him and the police arrested the nut that hit me and knocked me down. I guess I am ok and will go to the Dr. on tues. and have another dose of this crap of chemo. I guess I am just depressed and feeling terrible can I get through this?

Sorry to hear about all that. Is there any way you can go on sick leave or disability while you are being treated? Even stress leave maybe?
Hurray for Jake coming to your rescue! I was at a flea market this morning but thankfully missed all the rednecks. :P
You can get thru this. It sounds like Jake is supportive? And there a re a few posters on here that are going thru Chemo/cancer maybe it would help to have a chat with them?
Take care of yourself.

Egads the homophobes here are bad enough and we have legalized same-sex marriage, I can't imagine what it must be like in Texas. Hugs and hang in there. I'm glad at least one Redneck got his comeupance though I'm sorry it had to be at your expense.

When life gets very bad, live hour by hour. If it gets worse, go minute by minute. Search out the little bright spots that will keep you going.

Poor Hambeak! You are having a rough patch. Remember you've survived so many other trials in the past, and you can get through this, too. Bless Jake! I agree with the day or even minute at a time plan. Hugs to you!

What an awful day, Hambeak. Would it be possible for you to take a leave of absence from your job until you get through the worst of the chemo? Sounds like you need time to rest and give your body a chance to heal.
