    You are quite talented Terry.

I'm listening to yestermorrow right now. Very well done.

    Thanks.

    The fundamentals are pretty straitforward.

With Cakewalk you get a maximum of 16 tracks (I use very OLD Cakewalk software).

I play a track (let's say kettledrums) and then go back and add one instrument at a time playing each on a different track.

On the above I don't think I used more than 7 or 8 layers.

Composing is just improvisation at a slower pace. It is kind of like telling a bedtime story; you make it all up as you go. With software you can go back and correct an error or add an idea that improves what first came into your head.

Perfectionists are never satisfied. I tend to have to immediately let go of what I'm working on and then suffer later because I don't like this or that.

Home studios are better than crossword puzzled by far.

Cat Stevens had a wonderful sound. Seals and Croft too.

    Outstanding Terry.

I have a lot of recording equipment I have Cakewalk home studio and a yamaha 16 track digital recorder and alesis digital adat recorder plus a roland rs 9 synthesizer. Hopefully listening to you will motivate me to record something. Its a great pasttime.

You should look into marketing some of your works to tv or movies.
