September 11th is obviously in all our minds now and probably (it is for me) at some point we think about it anyway.

Do you allow the fear to get to you?

Personally i don't. I feel for those that died and i think its horrible, but i won't allow myself to be scared or change how i do things.

Within a few weeks of 9/11, there was an incident at Three-Mile-Island nuclear plant just outside Harrisburg, PA. (You may remember it as the infamous plant that had a partial melt-down in 1979.) I lived within 10 miles of TMI. That evening I heard military jets flying around for hours in the direction TMI was located. I knew something was up, and I was worried. The next day, the local media said there had been a "credible threat" at TMI but the threat was never specified. I still don't know exactly what, if anything, happened. But it was scary.

I dont think about it. But you cant escape it. You just brought it up so I thought about it. My wife is watching some tv special on it in the other room I heard it when I walked thru the room. I dont find myself scared or threatend by it. Everybody owes 1 death.

Well fear is an important emotional reaction. So yes I feel fear about a lot of thingsa.

It isn't fear that is bad. We all have things happen daily that can trigger fear. What is important is that we examine the fear and assess how much we need to change our behavior.

Planes flying into buildings. If I decided the threat is too great I might as well hibernate or live in a cave.

We have to live. Life does indeed go on. I deal with what I can and the rest... well it will happen and if there is nothing I can do then move on and live.

I think after September 11, I was paranoid for awhile, especially since my husband couldn't get home from Germany.

Now, I have 3, ...6 foot plus men at home and 2, 100 pound plus dobermans so I guess I am not fearful of anything.

We actually leave the door unlocked at night....god help any fool who would wan't to intrude.

    r.
