Finally got my apartment!!! YAY

After being turned down for 6, I finally got an apt. that my kids and I are very happy in. I didn't have internet connection for a week and my grades in college dropped a bit but they said not to worry too much because my grades has been very good and that it won't matter too much. Anyway, I'm relieved that this is another part in my life that is showing me that life DOES go on after a divorce and I'm happy because the apt is MINE. I feel like I can breathe better. Another new step in my book of life.

I have been there myself a long time ago! It was the very first place I ever had on my OWN (well---with four kiddies) and I had full control over where the money went, where WE went, what we watched on TV, what we ate...etc, etc. (Before I became a JW) I had gone straight from my parents home to a husband that was as controlling as my Dad had been!

Having your very own place is quite a grand experience!

Thanks everyone. I do love my apt. It's small, comfy, and feels like home. Finally a place I can feel like I "fit" in... lol Sierra and I share a room and Zach has his own room. We got to keep our animals. Only a couple of things I don't like... 1. it's on the 3rd floor so we have to take the dogs out 3 times a day. And 2....well, I guess the dog issue is the only thing I know about that I don't like. The rest is all plusses.

It's great that you got an appartment where you feel relaxed and at home but did you buy or rent it, that's what I don't get.

Hi greendawn... I'm renting it... though it's like mine because I got it on my own. I get to decorate it the way "I" want. Like sunny spot said, I can watch my TV, eat what I want, come and go as "I" please...no one to ask or make sure it's "ok" with...I've wanted to decorate a room with indians... now I can...and I WILL.

Finally got my apartment!!! YAY
