There was a quote from an Afghani woman in my local newpaper that would support the terrible conditions in which women there live.
I have to paraphrase: "They (Americans) can come and bomb us, killing me and my child. Life is not pleasurable to live anymore."

I can understand (somewhat) that another counrty cannot go in and demand they give women more rights, but what i dont understand is why there isnt the social pressures from other counrties to change their evil ways. Anyone know?

The sad part of this situation is that the Taliban are an improvment over the situation that existed before they took over. Women were being abcucted all the time. They put a stop to that.

I'm not sure, but if I was a woman living under the Taliban I might want to be abducted.
