Anyone watch a series called "Surface" on NBC?

Last season this series came out that I really did not think much of, from the previews, and then I started watching it and I never missed one. It was called Surface, and it was about this group of people who came together through a common story line, to bring about the truth about an possible new life form that was coming out of the sea. It was sci-fi all the way, and reminded me of Close Encounters of the third kind at time, and a little bit of The Abyss. Anyway, it did well in the ratings and had a major cliff hanger ending last February, do to the Olympics and I have been waiting for some announcement as to when it would be back. Only to find out NBC canceled it last May.

This is my gripe, getting into a series and really liking it ... then some network jerk cancels it, as they do not believe, that despite it's good ratings, it will stand the test of time. Now I wasted all that time watching a series, that I expected to enjoy to the next year and instead it is left with an unfinished cliff hanger that will never see completion.

    Anyone else like this series?

Yes, that ticked me off. They cancelled that, Invasion and Threshold. Maybe SCI-FI Channel will re-run the episodes of Surface.

    Invasion and Threshold

Threshold was not working for me, but I loved Invasion. If they keep coming out with these series that require you to get into the story line and watch closely, only to just axe them later because they do not have a long enough possible future to them, they are going to get very negative attempts at these type of series in the future. My problem with Sci-Fi picking them up, is that Sci-Fi dumbs their series down some to make them more cost affective and you loss something. As example, SG1, was better on Showtimes budget, then Sci-Fi. At least we still have Battlestar Galactica ... at least I think we do. Better check on that too.
