Anyone have any ideas why a historically cheaper gas state such as Utah is still maintaining high prices? Notice the remarkable dividing line between the midwest and the west?

Don't know but I drive 12 miles now to save 46cents per gallon. There is one station 40 miles away that still charges 3.25 per gallon compared to 2.43 per gallon 12 miles away. Down the road it is still 2.89 per gallon. This makes a big difference for me as my van only gets 13 miles per gallon and holds 40 gallons. OUCH
