No its not a Britney Spears song lol
not sure if anyone has noticed this in the "my book of bible stories"
Go to story 86 "men guided by a star"
paragraph two of the story reads so "When the men got to Jerusalem, they asked; where is the child to be king of the Jews? "Jews" is another name for Israelites."We first saw the childs star when we were in the East," the men Said "and we have come to WORSHIP him"
oops did they mean "do obeisance to him" how naughty to miss that one.
God bless you all

As you may recall, in the WTS spin on this story, the "3 wise men" are bad guys - astrologers, minions of the Devil.
So, since they are bad guys, they would of course want to do something "bad" - i.e., "worship" Jesus.
As we all know, a "true Christian" "evidently" would "do obeisance" to Jesus instead. If these guys wanted to "worship" him, that's just another proof they were evil.

My thoughts as well. To the Witnesses, the wise men, the astrologers, were conned into finding the baby Jesus by Satan placing the star in the heavens, leading them to him, so that they could report back to Herod where he was, so that he could be killed. Angels came to the three men and told them not to report to Herod, thus saving baby Jesus.
But they were occultists, and so not "good" and were misguided to find Jesus in order to "worship him". Or so the JW-think goes.

Well spotted. Interesting that the NWT translates it as
(Matthew 2:2) 2 saying: "Where is the one born king of the Jews? For we saw his star [when we were] in the east, and we have come to do him obeisance."
but then paraphrases it in the Bible Stories as
***
mystory86MenGuidedbyaStar*** We first saw the child?s star when we were in the East,? the men said, ?and we have come to worship him.?This is quite an admission that their manipulation of proskuneo to be obiesence instead of worship does not really fit in this verse. For those unaware, the NWT consistently tranlates proskuneo as obesience when referring to Jesus to defend their anti Trinity stance, even though they translate it as worship when referring to anyone other than Jesus.
