i just read this as part of one of jgnat's posts its obviously nothing against her take a look and comment.i mean who are they trying to fool. out of all creation they are "groaning" the most

    Our Identification as Jehovah's Witnesses

As ministers of the good news, we are known publicly as Jehovah's Witnesses. Our voluntary participation in the field service is motivated by love of God and neighbor. It is not carried on at the insistence of any man or organization but is according to our God-given commission to preach the "good news" and make disciples. (Matt. 24:14; 28:19, 20) Therefore, publishers do well to avoid representing themselves as agents or representatives of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Inc., or any other corporation used by "the faithful and discreet slave" to advance Kingdom interests.?Matt. 24:45-47.

In case of an accident or an emergency or if problems are encountered while working trailer parks, apartments, or certain other territory, publishers may need some form of personal identification beyond giving their name along with a brief Scriptural explanation of the nature of our religious work. If questioned, or when asked for credentials, baptized publishers may use the identification card (S-65) signed by the presiding overseer, which shows one is preaching the good news of the Kingdom in association with the local congregation named on the card.

A supply of identification cards (S-65), which may be issued to baptized publishers when there is a need, will be included with the annual shipment of congregation forms. If any publishers use a personal name card in connection with their field service activities, they should not print thereon that they are representatives of the Watchtower Society.

"Our voluntary participation in the field service is motivated by love of God and neighbor" I mean most witnesses hate it but are "forced" to do it"" or arent considered worthy , for instance you cant get baptozed unless you do the ministry .
Next , "our God-given commission to preach the "good news" and make disciples. (Matt. 24:14; 28:19, 20)" When questioned as to the greatest commands was preaching mentioned?? ( as in the form of going house to house - which incidentally most definatley does not meaning knocking peoples doors and aggravating them.( causing your neighbour to hate you )
Can someone please explain to me if i'm wrong here, how what Jesus said 1) applies to us today, after all at the bibles completion the gospel is and could be known to virtually every person on earth within due course and if they have interest in it - and scripture states that GOD will give them the wisdom to understand it - and may i add all this without a reasoning book , . and would our God hold those accountable who never got chance to read or understand it - i think not 2)anywhere where Jesus implied you should go and annoy people to get them to follow God, after all didn't Jesus rely on the people COMING TO HIM as he travelled.
I see nothing to say in the verses quoted, that anyone besides the chosen ones full of holy spirit should go and spread the word ( i'm not saying its wrong to go publicly and speak about GOD - just there is a time and place, and peole will choose to listen if they are drawn to God )

God draws those to him who love him - he does not send someone out carrying additional literature to the bible with divine revelations of men.

Heaven forbid that an active JW were to identify themselves as associated with the Watchtower, Bible and Tract Society. That might make the Society responsible for all the shite that JWs spout at people's doors!!!

Or a car accident that a publisher has. Remember the car accident involving the Bethelite that got the Society sued because the plaintiff didn't buy the "he's just a volunteer" argument.

Think the day will come when the society wants all baptized publishers to have an identifying mark on their foreheads?
