It looks promising. Let's hope it can be developed into a commercial success.

Amazing
The news is good - sort of. Plasma cloud is only one feature. The problem with Fusion that no nation or corporation has resolved, is that it takes more energy to create a Fusion reaction that the energy the reaction produces. Whereas Fission reactes without outside energy input. The waste by-product of Breeder Fission Reactors is very small, and much more promising because it works now. I worked on the Fast Flux Test Facility (FFTF) at Hanford, Washington. A fuel pellet the size of a typical pencil eraser (about 1/4 in diameter) has enough Fissile energy to power the average home for a year, at the cost of a few cents. But, I hope that experiments continue to prove useful for Fission, as it would be a better source than even the Breeder Reacters.

Not to get too excited...
"That is not to say that it is at the level of the Europeans or Americans," he said.
It's just that china is catching up.

wouldn't you like to see them be tremendously successful in the next few years.... who knows, gas could tumble to 5 cents a gallon (wishful thinking? )
