Has anyone seen the television program Raumpatrouille Orion?
It was shown on German television about the same time the original Star Trek was first shown on American television (circa 1966)
I understand that despite only lasting seven episodes it has achieved somewhat of a cult status in Germany.

This program probably never was shown outside Germany, and at only 7 episodes I am surprised that anyone in Germany still remembers it, yet it is said to be a cult favorite there.
It could be that a lot of adults remember seeing the series when they were young.

Since I can't speak German, I have no idea what's being said, but youtube has some clips of the show it appears.

I tried some of the other clips and found this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZR8aSPT81pA&mode=related&search= , it has subtitles. It's the intro and the first few moments of the episode. The commander was a woman! Very progressive, sort of the German Janeway....
